Picture Description Writing Activity for Kids

Picture description consists of 10 beautifully illustrated, colorful cards having pictures designed in order of complexity from 1-10. That is the card marked as number 1 has only one main character or image. The card marked as number 2 has two main characters or images. Accordingly, the number of characters or images in other cards will increase. Hence, the 10th card will be the most complex. The child would be required to observe the picture and then describe it in her/his own words. Young children might write one simple sentence and little older children may express themselves in a paragraph. This is an important activity to develop a kid’s ability to observe, think, imagine, reason, and write.
